About GHMC

Gandhinagar Homoeopathic Medical College in Mubarakpur- Gandhinagar as an Autonomous Organisation under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India. Presently, it is under the Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India. The Institute, affiliated to the Gujarat University-Ahmedabad, presently conducts the degree course in Homoeopathy viz Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery [B.H.M.S.]

Today it consists of an Undergraduate section with an auditorium of 100 seating capacity, a hospital having an outpatient dept. and a 25 bedded inpatients dept. along with investigative facilities. The Institute is functioning in its own campus measuring about 4 acres of land at Mubarakpur, pethapur – mahudi road, Ta. Kalol, Dist.: Gandhinagar A 100 - seated Boys Hostel, a 120 - seated Girls Hostel are also available in the Gandhinagar near campus.

Gandhinagar Homoeopathic Medical College is to foster excellence in Homoeopathic Medical Education and Research, to educate and train undergraduate students and research scholars of homoeopathy in accordance with highest professional standards and ethical values unfettered by the barriers of nationality, language, culture, plurality, religion and to meet the healthcare needs of the community through dissemination of knowledge and service.

Campus

Gandhinagar Homoeopathic Medical college is located in the most planned and developed area of Gandhinagar. It is functioning in its own campus, situated on a plot of land measuring about 5 acres at Mubarakpur, pethapur – mahudi road, Ta. Kalol, Dist.: Gandhinagar

Construction of the first phase (G + 1) of the new Academic-cum-Library building has been completed. A well-built 25 bedded hospital is also within the campus. For undergraduate students, Boys’ hostel (100 accommodation), Girls’ hostel (120 accommodation) are available in Gandhinagar near the college campus and Quarters for Residential Medical Officers are also available in the campus.

The Herb Garden

There is a Herb Garden in GHMC campus, envisaged for acclimatizing exotic species which are generally imported in order to save foreign exchange and to build up the repository of authentic specimens of medicinal plants for use by students and researchers. The herb garden has maintained 90 different species of medicinal plants including 10 exotic species, which are high altitude, and cold climate plants.
